late 17th to early 18th century, possibly scandinavian, formed form a large piece of bifurcated antler, approximately 13in. overall, the front of the body fully engraved with panels of stylised geometric designs with plain reverse, the antler terminals with bone plugs, the cap with cross-hatched border and turned bone nozzle twin iron suspension loops (one only partial), some age staining and discolouration
