German, first half of the 17th century, formed from flat panels of wood banded with iron, naive shield decoration to the front, iron belt-hook to the reverse, tapering nozzle with sprung stopper and sprung thumb-operated cut-off lever, the body with triple suspension loops and one other (for a similar example see Riling page 240 fig.47)
