possibly from the American War of Independence, turned nozzle with turned horn stopper attached by a leather thong, wood base-plug with central filling plug (frozen), the body scrimshawed with a naive map of the Lake Ontario and New York areas showing rivers and forts, the base section with a large Georgian royal crest together with an imaginative depiction of New York with sailing ships and windmills, some age staining and discolouration
