LONDON.' and the rib gold-inlaid '3' with a flash of scroll engraving, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, carved shell fences, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, the toplever gold-inlaid '3', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand-detachable sidelocks, gold-inlaid cocking indicators, best fine border and acanthus scrollwork interspersed with floral motifs, 14 5/8in. figured stock (swept at the comb) including 1 1/8in. ebonite extension, weight 6lb. 9oz., in its makers brass-cornered oak and leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed as no.3 of a trio with 30in. barrels in August 1913 for 'Sandeman'.
