the first signed 'DIXON' in a raised panel at the neck, the body embossed with a panel of dots and stars, the brass top marked 'IMPROVED PATENT' and 'JAMES DIXON & SONS, SHEFFIELD' (Riling 431), the second also signed 'DIXON & SONS PATENT' with a copper body embossed with gamebirds (Riling 739), the last by 'G & J.W. HAWKSLEY, the body embossed with hanging game (Riling 630)
