WINNERS OF ALL THE "FIELD" RIFLE TRIALS 1883.', action with removable striker bar, carved percussion fence, elongated top strap, rebounding back-action lock with front bolted hammer, border engraving, brushed finish overall, 14in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with steel pistolgrip-cap and horn buttplate, missing sling eye, fore-end with grip-catch release and horn finial, weight 7lb. 9oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this rifle was completed as a .303 in 1899 for A.N. Jarvis.
