JEDBURGH', faceted breech-block engraved with a tiger's profile and with borderwork, the top-tang engraved with acanthus scroll, lock engraved 'GEO FORREST & SONS.' in script, bolted dolphin hammer with acanthus scrollwork on a matt background to the body, lockplate engraved with a lion stalking a stag surrounded by acanthus scroll on a matt background, single set trigger, the triggerguard engraved with a brace of hounds pursuing a stag, skeletal pistolgrip, 14 1/4in. stock with steel buttplate, the fore-end with horn tip, brass-tipped ramrod with worm engraved with the serial number TOGETHER WITH a period brass cornered oak storage case, compartmented and relined in green baize, facsimile 'Forrest & Sons' trade label and brass circular handle to lid
