circa 1760, with 46in. barrel, block fore-sight, the top at breech signed 'FREEMAN, LONDON' together with the number '41', dove-tail style top-tang, strongly curved and radiused lock signed 'FREEMAN' forwards of the hammer and '41' on the tail, unbridled frizzen, handrail-style three-quarter stock (some isolated worm) inlet with a brass shield escutcheon at the wrist engraved 'M' over '41', all brass furniture including serpentine side-plate, four ramrod pipes including throat and original iron ramrod, all iron surfaces cleaned and 'in the white' with some mild staining, London proofs
