converted from flintlock by drum and nipple, with 23 1/2in. barrels, applied nickel fore-sight, the top-rib with scroll engraving for approximately 4 1/2in. near the hooked breech, flat bevel-edged locks signed 'COOPER' with stepped tails (one hammer a crude copy), walnut half-stock with applied silver oval at the wrist, dot and checker-board chequering to wrist, iron heel-plate swelling at the toe, large engraved trigger-guard with scrolled pistol-grip tang, pineapple finial, iron ramrod throat and pipe, made without under-rib, missing ramrod (some light corrosion to iron surfaces, inlet repairs around right-hand lock)
