A .750 (REGULATION) FLINTLOCK SERVICE MUSKET SIGNED TOWER,MODEL 'NEW LAND PATTERN', no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with 39 1/4in. brushed bright barrel, Tower proofs, solid, dove-tail style top-tang, lock with border-lines, 'GR' and crown cypher forwards of the hammer and signed 'TOWER' on the tail, walnut three-quarter stock stamped 'PLD' together with a cockerel trademark on the left hand side of butt, brass furniture, iron swivels and ramrod (cleaned, with light surface corrosion), the trigger-guard bearing an old Phillips auction label
