30in. nitro barrels, rib gold-inlaid '2', tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl. choke, barrels with numerous dents, some pits and very loose on action, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best bold acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 14 3/8in. figured stock, swept at comb, including 1/2in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 7oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed as no.1 of a pair with 30in. barrels in November 1904 for 'Herbert'.
Other Notes: The gun requires attention before use and does not currently open fully (right mainspring bent).
