circa 1892, with 5 3/4in. blued barrel and raised sighting rib, nickel crescent fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight on the top-strap, blued fluted quick release cylinder, twin 'Pryse-action' opening levers to the rear of frame, chequered walnut one piece grip and iron butt-cap with lanyard ring, the whole retaining a fair amount of original finish, TOGETHER WITH a leather holster (distressed)
Provenance: This revolver was the property of and carried by the vendor's grandfather Lt. (acting captain) Francis Claude Flewitt Marshall who was with the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry posted to Palestine during WW1. During the service there he was mentioned in dispatches, the certificate of which the vendor has framed in his study
