circa 1770, with 1 1/2in. turn-off side-by-side barrels numbered '1' and '2' (frozen), starred muzzles, border engraved twin central hammer boxlock action signed 'BASS' within a banner surrounded by an engraved martial trophy on the left hand side and 'LONDON' in a similar banner within an engraved martial trophy on the right, twin top-sprung frizzens, semi rain-proof pans, twin sliding safetys also locking the frizzens behind the hammers, martial trophy engraved to top-tang, slab-sided plain walnut butt with radiused edges, twin triggers and a double-rolled-edge trigger-guard bow also engraved with a further martial trophy
