circa 1935, of 'Westinger' patent design, with tapering 5 1/2in. stepped barrel, blued receiver, adjustable rear-sight to 1000 metres, blued frame with selector (permanently converted to semi-automatic only), twelve groove wood grips, lanyard ring to base, magazine housing with Chinese characters and detachable magazine (finish worn throughout)
