early 20th century, with 8 1/4in. lightly curving blade, inner cutting edge, the tip double-edged for 3 1/2in., the blade ricasso stamped with makers mark on both sides (rubbed) together with a design formed from figure '8's (some light staining), marine ivory hilt held by two iron rivets, chased and engraved silver lower hilt mount with en-suite pommel cap, TOGETHER WITH its original silver hooked-tip scabbard, decorated in cartouche panels of engraving surrounded by beaded borders, to front and reverse also stamped with silver 'proof' marks (rubbed), twin silver suspension loops and reeded ball finial
