4th model, circa 1862, with blued 6in. octagonal barrel, engraved band at muzzle, dove-tailed barleycorn fore-sight, scroll engraving around barrel throat, the top-strap with rear standing sighting notch and signed 'JOHN HAYTON GRAHAM'S TOWN', plain border-line engraved cylinder with rope engraved front edge, border-line and scroll engraved frame, swinging cylinder lock on right hand side, 'TRANTERS PATENT' and the inspectors stamp 'HH' to left hand side of frame, chequered walnut one-piece grip (small loss near top), scroll engraved iron butt-cap, hinged border and scroll engraved rammer mounted to left hand side of frame and barrel, the whole with good traces of original finish (some pitting to trigger-guard bow)
