for 1886, with 6in. barrel group, nickel-crescent fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight on the receiver, boxlock double-action only hammerless action with side-lever opening, chequered walnut birds-head semi-sawback grips (one with small chip at front corner), polished trigger and fair traces of original finish TOGETHER WITH its original leather covered travelling case, the interior lined and compartmented in green baize, the inner lid with 'STEPHEN GRANT & JOSEPH LANG LTD.' trade label and retaining a pull-through, cleaning rod and brush
Other Notes: This pistol was built in 1886 for Capt. P. Armphage in cal .476 (oval-bore) and subsequently converted to .410.
