A 19TH CENTURY WILDFOWLERS MAGAZINE WITH CONTENTS,
circa 1870, the magazine amateur produced from heavy plyboard with a rope carry-strap, the shelved interior containing two copper hinge-lidded tins containing approximately twelve loose 8-bore 'ELEY'S IMPROVED PATENT WIRE CARTRIDGES' (some distressing and loss to contents), two unopened paper packages of 8-bore wire cartridges, one in No4 shot and the other in BB (each package assumed to contain twelve cartridges), four unsigned all-brass cartridges (one with partial charge), an unopened roll of wads (wormed) and a leather adjustable shot-flask, a further 'HUNTLEY & PALMER' biscuit tin (circa 1905) containing another eighteen loose 8-bore wire cartridges, condition as before, the magazine also with a copper slide out tray containing a number of top-cards and wads, a partial tin of tube lock caps, a partial tin of percussion caps, two large adjustable shot or powder measures with wad tamper handles, a boxwood wad tamper, a small tin of loose shot and a nutwood priming flask (all with some distressing).
