28in. black powder only damascus barrels, broad rib engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. 170. NEW BOND ST. LONDON.', 2 5/8in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, Anson & Deeley patent action, patent no. 1756 of 1875, use number 3459, Westley Richards patent toplever engraved with the makers name, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving with beaded borders, the triggerguard with a setter and fowl, retaining some colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/8in. well-figured pistolgrip stock (well converted from straight hand) including 1in. rubber recoil pad, escutcheon engraved 'FRANK H. ELLIS. PHILADELPHIA', fore-end with Anson & Deeley patent release catch and horn finial, weight 8lb. 10oz.
