for 1887, with octagonal blued 24 1/4in barrel, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, plain blued receiver and frame, the top-tang mounted with a period unsigned target peep-sight, plain walnut butt-stock, iron crescent heel-plate with central sliding trap-door, plain fore-end, full-length magazine, the whole retaining much original blued finish (woodwork refreshed)
