A CUT-STEEL SMALL-SWORD WITH BLUE AND GILT BLADE,
Georgian, circa 1800, with concave triangular cross-section 29 3/4in. blade retaining darkened and stained blue and gilt finish for the first half, the remainder in stained polish (some cleaned corrosion), engraved signature to both sides of the blade at the forte 'ME FECIT SOLINGEN', dark iron pierced oval guard with applied cut-steel decoration, 'D' shaped knuckle-guard with small pas-de-ane, silver variegated wire-bound swollen grip-piece with iron faceted urn pommel (missing scabbard)
