circa 1895, round 2 1/4in. barrel with flat sighting rib signed 'GAULOIS' together with the Manufrance trademark, nickel bead fore-sight, squared roll-engraved receiver signed on the top 'MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE SAINT ETIENNE ARMES ET CYCLES' within a circle, sliding dust cover marked 'No 3' and the calibre 8mm, detachable sideplate on the left hand side drilled with cartridge viewing holes and fitted with a three-position selector, sliding double-action only cocking and firing action to the rear fitted with a hard-rubber chequered grip-piece, original colour and finish throughout, the whole appearing little used TOGETHER WITH its original suede storage purse
