A BRITISH PATTERN 1827 RIFLE OFFICERS SWORD,
circa 1870, with slightly curved 32 1/2in. blade, etched for the first two-thirds of its length with floral scrolls, a Victorian crown, cypher and infantry bugle and marked 'VOLUNTEER RIFLES', makers mark etched at ricasso, inlaid proof-mark, iron half-basket with Rifle Regiment bugle and crown, iron backstrap and pommel, sharkskin wire-bound grip TOGETHER WITH its iron scabbard (stained with mild pitting)
