circa 1905, with blued octagonal 27in. barrel, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two folding leaves, matted top-flat signed 'HORSLEY & SON, YORK', dolls-head extension to breech, border and partial scroll engraved top-lever rounded hammerless action (traces of colour), side-safety, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, horn cap to pistol-grip, snap-on chequered splinter fore-end with horn tip, the whole retaining much original finish except where noted TOGETHER WITH a canvas covered 'Thomas Horsley' trade labelled case, compartmented and lined in green baize (outer straps at fault)
