AN 11mm (FRENCH ORDNANCE) SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER MODEL 'M1873', serial no. F54736,
dated for 1876, with two-stage 4 1/2in. barrel, the top flat stamped 'MLE 1873', block and blade fore-sight, standing notch to the rear of the grooved top-strap, stepped cylinder, frame with detachable sideplate, traces of 'straw' finish to the ancilliaries, walnut chequered two-piece grips, lanyard swivel to the iron pommel-cap, the whole 'in the white' with some staining, all matching numbers
