dated for 1877, with two-stage 4 1/2in. barrel, the top flat stamped 'MLE 1874', block and blade fore-sight standing notch to the rear of the grooved top-strap, fluted stepped cylinder, blued frame with detachable sideplate, 'straw' coloured ancilliaries, walnut chequered two-piece grips, lanyard swivel to the iron pommel-cap, the whole retaining much original blued finish, all matching numbers
