third model circa 1860, with octagonal 6in. barrel, dove-tail provision for fore-sight (missing), standing notch on the rear of top-strap, the top-strap signed 'H. RICHARDS OLD HALL ST LIVERPOOL', engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraved at breech, borderline and scroll engraved frame (action frozen) with 'Y' shaped spring safety, plain cylinder with borderline engraving and rope-turned front edge, spur-less hammer, walnut chequered one-piece grip, secondary cocking trigger protruding through trigger guard and hinged rammer mounted on left hand side of barrel, the whole stripped of finish with some pitting
