A 40-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK POCKET-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with turn-off 2 1/2in. round barrel (frozen, rounded boxlock action with central hammer, both sides border engraved with central martial trophies, the right hand side signed 'LONDON' within an oval, the left hand side signed 'W. KETLAND & CO' also within an oval, sliding safety to the top tang locking the frizzen (top of frizzen chipped), fully chequered rounded bag-shaped grip (small loss at head), silver oval escutcheon at wrist and folding, concealed automatic trigger
