circa 1863, with octagonal 6 1/2in. barrel (markings erased), conical fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, chamber with full-length flutes, plain iron frame, brass trigger-guard, two-piece smooth walnut grips and hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole stained with areas of re-finishing and mild pitting
