circa 1800, with triple-staged cannon muzzled 14in. barrel (some bruising), provision for sprung bayonet (missing), release catch removed from rounded iron top-tang, borderline engraved bevel-edged stepped-tail lockplate signed 'RICHARDSON' (rubbed), roller bearing to the frizzen spring, walnut three-quarter stock with skip-chequering to the wrist, engraved brass furniture including sideplate and partial original ramrod, the whole dirty with surface staining and corrosion
