made between 1807-30, with re-browned round 39in. smoothbore barrel signed at breech 'EZEKIEL BAKER & SONS, GUN MAKERS TO HIS MAJESTY, LONDON', block fore-sight, plain slightly curved and radiused lock signed 'E. BAKER & SON', Baker-style hammer, semi-rainproof pan with tall frizzen, walnut three-quarter stock with applied semi-pistol grip (similar to the Baker Cavalry Rifle of 1827), no patch-box, brass furniture including long-eared heel-plate, trigger-guard, serpentine sideplate with additional central screw, three ramrod pipes including throat, provision for sling swivels (missing) and dome-headed iron ramrod TOGETHER WITH a period trials-type socket bayonet with spring catch working on the fore-sight complete with its original black laquered iron scabbard
