W.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 3/4 choke, stepped treble-grip action with hidden third bite, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, F. & F.G. Rogers patent ejector system, patent no. 12606 of 12th June 1908 with sliding hammer in fore-end, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving with central shell motifs, the underside with a floral bouquet encircled with 'JOHN WILKES', retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 3/8in. highly-figured stock including horn buttplate (minor chip at safety), weight 6lb. 10oz., in a lightweight canvas case
