possibly circa 1750 with later restock, 9in. slightly swamped triple-banded iron barrel, boat-shaped fore-sight set back from the muzzle, solid top-tang with shell engraving to tip, curved and radiused border-lined lockplate signed 'FECIT GREGORY'? on the tail, defaced signature forwards of the hammer with the word 'FECIT' visible, restocked with a walnut full-stock with a bag-shaped grip, brass furniture typical of the East India Company including serpentine sideplate engraved with the monogram 'M.O.' and period, probably original horn-tipped ramrod
