A .442 (C/F) NICKEL-PLATED FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION POCKET REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'BRITISH BULLDOG', no visible serial number,
American, circa 1875, possibly by the firm of 'Hopkins & Allen', with ovoid 2 3/4in. barrel (fore-sight missing), the top-strap stamped 'BRITISH BULLDOG', fluted cylinder, plain frame, under-sized chequered gutta-percha birds-head grip, the whole with much original nickel-plate remaining (action at fault)
