dated for 1863, with 36 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, swing open breech-block with ball-detent locking catch, plain lock with 'L.A.Co.' and date stamp forwards of the hammer, crown and 'V.R. stamp to the tail, walnut three-quarter stock with brass heel-plate, nose-cap and trigger guard, three iron barrel-bands, iron swivels and ramrod, good degree of original finish
