Belgian, circa 1870, with octagonal blued sighted barrel, grooved top-strap with standing notch rear-sight, plain blued cylinder with deep locking notches around rear-edge, plain blued frame with hinged loading gate, smooth two-piece walnut bag-shaped grips and lanyard ring at base, the whole with much original blued finish with some isolated patches of heavy corrosion
