circa 1800 (hallmarked for London, possibly 1804), with round 9in. barrel banded at the breech, flat, slightly curved step tailed lock signed 'HEELY & CO' forwards of the hammer, roller-bearing to the frizzen-spring, sliding safe behind the hammer, plain walnut full-stock with bag-shaped butt, silver shield shaped escutcheon to wrist, silver trigger-guard tang and roll-edged bow engraved with a musical trophy, pineapple finial, silver ramrod pipes and horn-tipped mahogany ramrod (exposed iron surfaces stained with some mild pitting)
