A FANTASY-ENGRAVED 9mm (PARA) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, MODEL 'P08 LUGER', serial no. 5902,
circa 1941 with later engraving, brushed bright 4in. sighted barrel, the breech engraved with scrolls extending along the barrel highlighted with gold border wire inlays, the top of breech with gold inlaid '41', the centre-section of toggle carved with 'SS' and a 'deaths-head Totenkopf' device, the rear of toggle en-suite with the barrel, the back with gold inlayed swastika, the left hand side of receiver and frame engraved with scrolls surrounding a raised eagle and swastika emblem, the right hand side with scrolls and gold wire borders, the side-plate carved with a raised 'iron-cross' with swastika to centre, the remainder of the frame engraved with further scrolls and gold wire inlays, smooth ivorine grips and magazine with polished aluminium base
