TWO INTERESTING ITEMS OF PERSONAL EPHEMERA PERTAINING TO R. BROWN (FORMERLY OF JOHN DICKSON & SON),
comprising of a copy of 'A MANUAL ON DRAWING THE HUMAN FIGURE' by L.A. DOUST, published by Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd., signed by Brown on the frontispiece and dated 14th February 1942, together with a 6in. sq. brass plate being Brown's apprentice piece made during his time with the makers and showing various designs, motifs and crests.
Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that Brown worked under him during his time as an actioner with the Scottish maker John Dickson & Son.
