A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'DEANE-HARDINGS PATENT', serial no. 6950L,
circa 1860, with octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, under-barrel hinged rammer, the top-strap signed 'DEANE & SON, LONDON BRIDGE', plain cylinder, border-line engraved two-piece frame, swinging cylinder-locking safety on right hand side, spurred hammer, chequered walnut saw-backed grip and iron butt-cap, the whole stripped of finish TOGETHER WITH a period (probably original) English market oak storage case compartmented and re-lined in blue baize, reproduction trade label to inside of lid and retaining a number of period accessories including a bag-shaped flask by 'JAMES DIXON & SONS', a correct pattern but mis-numbered double brass bullet-mould, a cleaning rod, nipple-key and assorted later spares
