circa 1790, with substantial triple-staged barrel, banded at the transitions and cannon muzzled, the top near breech engraved with a knightly shielded coat of arms (indistinct), reinforced breech with iron top-tang, slightly curved and radiused lockplate signed 'REYNES A BAYONNE' within a field of scrolls (rubbed), waterproof pan with drain, walnut full-stock with iron furniture (cheek-piece dished), raised trigger-guard tang and original wooden ramrod
