A 16-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with two-stage twist-iron 33in. barrel, bead fore-sight, carved bands at the intersection and single gold line at breech, engraved top-tang with sighting notch, flat, borderline engraved, slightly curved bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed 'D. EGG', borderline engraved hammer and frizzen, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (cracked below lock), iron furniture, horn fore-end tip and probable replacement ramrod
