dated for 1862, with sighted 21in. barrel, borderline engraved lock signed '1862 TOWER' with a 'VR' and crown cypher to the tail, walnut full-stock with exposed muzzle, the underside of butt lightly stamped 'WILLIAMSON BROTHERS, brass furniture, iron saddle bar and ring to left hand side, two iron barrel-bands and captive stirrup pan-headed iron ramrod, traces of finish throughout
