circa 1865 and a conversion of the Pattern 1853 Artillery Carbine (second model), with 21 3/4in. barrel (pitted externally), block and blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, flip open breech-block signed 'SNIDER'S PATENT', borderline engraved military-style lock signed 'ADAMS, LONDON', walnut three-quarter stock with brass furniture and jag-ended cleaning rod
