English, circa 1795 and re-converted back to flint, with re-browned twist-iron two-stage barrel, bead fore-sight, gold line and inlaid poincon at breech (details rubbed out), engraved top-tang with raised carved sighting channel, flat, slightly curved bevel-edged step-tailed lock with engraved border and a game-bird and scrolls to the tail, gold inlaid poincon with traces of a signature beneath the pan, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, raised cheek-piece, iron furniture, white-metal fore-end cap and barrel-key escutcheons, later ramrod
