circa 1860, with re-browned 30in. twist iron barrels, the top-rib unsigned, scroll engraving to the rib-end and top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'MANTON', chequered walnut half-stock, scroll engraved iron furniture, plain ramrod thimbles and a period ebony ramrod TOGETHER WITH its makers oak storage case, circular escutcheon to lid, Manton & Company trade label to inside of lid, the case lined and compartmented in blue baize and complete with a number of accessories including a powder flask, shot flask, wad-punch, oil-bottle, cap-tin and sundry cleaning items
