circa 1860, with 30in. twist-iron barrels, the top-rib re-engraved 'THOMAS BLAND & SONS BIRMINGHAM', colour-hardening to the breech, platinum plugs, plain top-tang, flat, plain bar-acton locks with rounded tails, both locks signed 'T. BLAND & SONS', plain hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, plain iron furniture and period brass-tipped ramrod TOGETHER WITH a mahogany storage case, compartmented and re-lined in green baize and complete with two flasks, a wad-punch and cap-tin, the lid of case with circular escutcheon engraved 'J.E BREWER'
