circa 1885, with blued octagonal 28in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y.', nickel-bladed fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight with elevator ramp, plain colour-hardened receiver with opening lever on the right hand side, the left hand side marked 'HEPBURN'S PAT OCT 7th1879', elevating micro-adjustable ladder peep-sight fitted to the top-tang, chequered walnut semi-pistol grip butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, splinter fore-end with vacant oval escutcheon and moulded fore-end cap, the whole retaining much original finish and colour TOGETHER WITH a valuation certificate.
