circa 1870, with round 3 1/2in. barrel, raised sighting rib with nickel-silver crescent fore-sight signed by the maker with patent dates to 1865, fluted cylinder, plain frame, two-piece rose-wood smooth grips and spur trigger, the whole retaining much original nickel finish throughout, TOGETHER WITH a later compartmented wooden travelling case and paste-board carton with a reproduction gummed label for 'THE EAGLE METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO.'.
