A SILVER-MOUNTED BURMESE DHA SWORD,
circa 1880, with 18in. slightly curving blade widening at the tip, deeply stamped makers mark at forte, triple-stage low-grade silver hilt with the first section of faceted form with applied silver wire border decoration, diminutive circular hand-guard, cylindrical variegated wire-bound centre section with fine chain-link grip-piece and fluted spire pommel (some minor dents), the silver scabbard with applied silver wire arabesques and variegated bands (covering to tip missing), the throat section bound with a red silken rope, the whole 37in. overall
